My Life is Perfection

I made it!! After a 16 hour flight I have finally arrived. When I landed in the Prague airport I was greeted by my cousin Matus. Feeling extremely exhausted, I somehow managed to stay up 32 hours straight. I guess I was just running on adrenline. Matus doesn't live in Prague, so we made the 90 min drive to Czech Republic's 5th largest city, Liberec. Words cant describe how beautiful it is here. Completely different from anything that I am used to.
There isn't much to Liberec, but that doesn't mean that it is any less beautiful. Matus and I ventured out to Jested yesterday that overlooked the whole city and it was just breathtaking. After snapping a few pictures, we headed back to the center of Liberec and saw the Liberec Town Hall. I would say this is the hidden gem of this city. It's tucked away in the center and when you are walking you just turn the corner and then BAM! There is a stunning gothic architectural building that it just huge! We spent our lunchtime sitting on the grass with sunbathers laying about and a small peaceful lake in front of us. It is so amazing that the little places we go to hold so much beauty and mystery. Come nightfall...that's where things got interesting. The first pub we went to was called Zoo Bar and that's where I had my first encounter with Hruskovice which is a Czech pear brandy. Let me tell you, Hruskovice did me real dirty that night. I've never had a shot that felt so so warm going down...a couple shots later and I was having a party, with myself of course because Matus had to drive later. Needless to say my first few nights in the Czech Republic have been beyond perfect. I've had the most wonderful tour guide and the most wonderful time exploring and seeing everything I can. It's only been a couple days and I don't want to leave. And I haven't even gotten to Prague yet!
This weekend I move into my apartment for USAC and I get to meet all the awesome students that I will be sharing this semester with. There are so many things to look forward to and I've never felt so excited.

Prehrada is the small park where we had our drinks and enjoyed the view and perfect weather.

My very first Hruskovice.

The Beginning

It's the night before I embark on the most exciting adventure of my existence and it's quite difficult to muster up the words to describe how I am feeling. Since I can remember, studying abroad has always been something I wanted to experience in my collegiate career. It's so weird/scary/exciting/mind blowing that the time has finally come.
Prague, Czech Republic is considered to be one of the most beautiful cities in the world and I am fortunate enough to call it my home for the next 4 months. My goal for this semester is to see the world and just gain some perspective on life. I want to fully immerse myself in the culture, history, and beauty that this city has to offer. I want to finally be able to allow myself to live in the moment and appreciate everything around me. I want to let loose and just have some fun! I'm beyond ecstatic to finally leave Las Vegas because these past weeks have been so long and lonely. The anticipation has been killing me!
With this blog I hope to share some of my spunky stories with you all and let you in on what I hope to be the most exciting awesome time of my life :) The adventure officially starts tomorrow with my 16 hr plane ride! Woo!
